How do I turn off the Safari shortcut "command-comma"? This shortcut opens the privacy settings for Safari, but interferes with a helpful Google Docs shortcut. Thanks!

⌘, is usually the default shortcut in Mac apps for Preferences.


You can change it.


Open System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> App Shortcuts.


Select + and from the Application dropdown choose Safari.


In Menu Title type Preferences... (including the 3 dots – ellipsis) and in Keyboard Shortcut choose a new shortcut combination (something not used by Google Docs) like ⌘⌥,
