iPad floating keyboard glitch

When using the floating keyboard on certain apps (including iMessage) the tab and caps lock keys are overlaid on the keyboard making it hard to type. Is there a way to turn this off?

Also, in iMessage when I’m using the floating keyboard it pushes all the messages up above where the keyboard is placed, is there also a way to get rid of this function?
