Waze with Apple Car-Play

While using Waze over apple car play, the GPS location is very inaccurate and shows the car about 50-100 meters away from the actual location, causing the navigation to go crazy. When disconnecting Apple Car-Play (by disconnecting the USB cable), the Waze application (on my iPhone) returns to function normally. Reconnecting to Apple Car-Play will repeat the same issue. I am using iPhone-XR, iOS version 13.3

Note that this does not happen when running Waze from an Android phone (Samsung) with Google-Auto.

If it's any help, the car is a Hyundai Tuscon (2019)

Any ideas ?

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand GPS location using the Waze app via CarPlay is not working as expected. I'd like to share guidance to help.

If you were to use Apple Maps, or any other GPS application outside of Waze via CarPlay, does the same behavior occur? Or, is this isolated to the Waze app via CarPlay only?

Try out the steps in these articles:

-How to use CarPlay with your iPhone - Apple Support. The steps under, 'Get help' will share more troubleshooting steps specific to CarPlay as well.

If the behavior is isolated to the Waze app only, consider these steps: If an app unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open - Apple Support. You may also need to report the behavior to the app developer: How to contact an app developer - Apple Support.
