itunes library still has all my past purchased music...but now im unable to browse the store on my desk top? im aware itunes has been broken up, but since my system cannot update out of high sierra or into catalina, how am i supposed to purchase or browse new music?

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?
Hmmm, I never bought anything from the iTunes Store, in fact I haven't used iTunes for at least 5 years, had trouble signing in, had to do it twice but it's there!
mine doesnt load at all. it must be an issue with my computer if yours works fine.
