iMac (2019) won’t recognize Pioneer BDR-XD05S?

Does anyone know how I can get this Blu-ray Burner to work with my new iMac 2019? I tried downloading the driver from Pioneer but my iMac is saying it can’t run the driver due to the upgrade to 64-bit. I’m running on OS Catalina and it worked on my last iMac (Late 2015).

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.15

Hi.

Start at the Pioneer website and see if they can provide a 64-bit driver.

As you've discovered, Catalina 10.15 does not run 32-bit software.

If Pioneer has no compatible driver, try a web search for Blu-ray hardware drivers from other venders.

You may be looking at buying a new BR disc player.
