Access full SMB path with iPadOS an iOS 13 not only the server itself

I only have access to certain folders on my company's shared drive. For example I have access to smb://shared-server/path-to/my-folder, but not smb://shared-server.

With the Files app, I can only seem to connect to the root folder, smb://shared-server, which shows me a blank list of folders as I have no rights to anything in the root folder. When I try to add the path to my folder, it does not work.

With Third-Party-Apps I can connect to paths like smb://shared-server/path-to/my-folder/file.pdf.

What am I doing wrong?
