numbers not syncing across devices since ipad and iphone software update 13.3

All my numbers files on the iCloud Drive have stopped syncing across the iPad and iPhone since the software update 13.3. But when I open the same files through my MacBook it asks me which version I want to keep, once I choose the correct version it syncs across all devices until I edit the file again either on iPad or iPhone.

have already checked all settings and nothing seems changed. It used to work perfectly and have been using the feature and even some of the files for years without issues until now

anyone knows what’s going on?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand from the information you provided that your Numbers files are not updating across your devices; I'd like to help.

When the Numbers app keeps asking which version you want to keep may indicate that the document is being edited by an older version of Numbers on one of your devices. The following support article provides some information about how to check for updates:

Hi Chris,

maybe my post wasn’t clear. I’m running all the latest software updates on each device, for both the device iOS and the app software version.

And it’s since this last round of updates that I’m encountering this problem that only seems solved when I open the numbers document through the MacBook app. When I do that it asks me which version of the document I want to keep, nothing to do with different software versions. It detects the document was opened in different devices and the changes done on those devices although they don’t sync between iPad or iPhone (where I usually edit them), the MacBook app seems to always detect the same document was opened on iPhone and edited and opened on iPad and edited allowing me to choose between those two versions of the same document. However if I edit the document on the iPhone and then try to open on the iPad it stopped showing the updated version of that document. The same happens the other way round. But the MacBook will see both.
