Activation lock
Activation lock suddenly appeared on my wife’s iPad and says need to reset password but how do you do this on her iPad

If you need to remove the activation lock, but cannot access the device because you’re locked out, you’ll need to log-in to your AppleID account from a web-browser (on any computer) - from which you can manage both your AppleID and Activation Locks associated with your device(s).
