I can’t unlock my grandmas iPad because of activation lock she has no clue what her password was...

If the iPad is Activation Locked, this document should provide all information that you should need:

This will ultimately direct you to this website to recover your AppleID and associated password:
You’ll need access to the primary email address associated with the AppleID account, to receive reset email - or any of your secondary/recovery email addresses - or one of your registered “trusted” telephone numbers (either mobile or landline).
