pages wont print or save

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010)

OSX High Sierra

10.13.6 (17G10021)

Pages version 8.1

I cannot print or save anything that I create in this program today. Its never been a problem before. If I try to print I get a box that says "PRINT Error While Printing". If I try to save it I get a box that says "The document “Untitled” could not be saved as “Untitled.pages” (or whatever name I try to give it). I can't save it as a PDF either. I tried that too.

I tried restarting Pages, that didn't help.

It turns out the real problem was that my hard drive was experiencing its final death throws. Thanks for trying to help though.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. I see that you’re having issues saving and printing your documents from the Pages app. I’d be more than happy to assist you with these issues.

Make sure that you’re following the right steps when saving and naming your document in Pages. Follow the online guide here: Save and name a document in Pages on Mac

For the printing issue, there are some helpful steps you can take to Solve printing problems on Mac.

If you continue to have printing problems, make sure that you can print using other apps besides Pages. If you’re having issues printing using other apps as well, then I recommend that you contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
