Finding migrated files

Just purchased the Macbook Pro - used the migration assistant to transfer files from Windows OS PC to the Mac. When it finished, it said all the data was transferred - but WHERE? How do I find it? The finder is empty, nothing comes up when I enter file names, and I've migrated TWICE! What the heck did Apple do with my years of documents, photos, etc???

Thank you for any and all help - please do NOT send videos to watch, I won't, and please help before I take a sledge hammer to this very expensive Christmas present!!

:-)

Thank you :)

command key and spacebar key together open the spotlight search or from the far upper right search icon.
