Made a spreadsheet in Numbers 6.2.
Created a chart.
Copied and pasted the chart to Pages 8.2.
Editing the spreadsheet data does not change the chart in Pages.
Can I link a chart created in Numbers to a Pages document?

Apparently I led you astray. I checked Chart-table behaviour today with samples made in Numbers and pasted into Pages, and found, as you did, that the chart got its information from a table created by Pages when the chart was created OR pasted in. Data in that chart had to be entered manually or pasted in to that table. The table appeared to not support formulas, including formulas attempting to gather the chart data from a separate table.
Could be time to Provide Pages Feedback (see the Pages menu) and make a feature enhancement request to add this feature.

In addition, can I use a table in Pages to make a chart?
For example, have my data entry table at the end of my document in an appendix, and have the chart appear on a different page.
Currently, I can only make a table or a chart.
Thank you for this information. I have a question regarding "paste the Numbers table into Pages and create the chart from the pasted version of the table." How do I do this? I can paste the table into Pages. But I can not create a chart from the table. Is it under my nose and I can not see it?
I do see the 3rd option to insert a chart, and then there is a button to edit chart data, which opens a very simple spreadsheet. I then have to copy and paste all the information from the table into it.

Hi Peter,
Neither Pages nor Numbers support links between different documents. If you want the chart in Pages, your choices are to paste an image of the chart into Pages,
or to paste the Numbers table into pages and create the chart from the pasted version of the table,
or to create both the table and the chart in Pages.
The first option places a fixed version of the chart as it appeared when copied. Changes to the table will not result in changes to the chart.
The second and third will result in a table in Pages that is linked to the chart. A change in the data in the table will cause a change in the chart.
