There was a similar discussion that started in 2018 but there were no helpful responses so I am posting it again to see if the community can find a reasonable solution (changing my Mac for a PC as it was suggested is not one of the options that I am exploring).

This message appears even when:

  • Restarted my iMac.
  • Started Safari.
  • Open "only" 2 instances of GMAIL.

Something it is obviously not right. It could be my setup but it is pretty standard.

  • No videos playing.
  • No games.
  • Word is on.

Any ideas anyone?

You can just click the "x" and dismiss the warning. I get this a lot if I have too many tabs of Apartment Therapy open. They are sites that use lots of resources. I've never found there's actually much impact on performance (based on Activity Monitor).

Having only one instance of Gmail open seems reasonable to me.

You can also try using a different browser. Or, retrieve your email through the included Mail app.
