Apple TV

Just bought a new 4K Apple TV device in November that came with after year of Spple TV plus, I have been watching and enjoying several series. However, went in to watch episode 7 of Truth Be Told and could not watch as it wanted a sign up to Apple TV plus??? Called for support.....they are telling me my subscription to Apple TV was cancelled December 31st?? I never cancelled it! I suspect their system saw it as the year ending and cancelled it. Support is telling me once cancelled it cannot be reopened!?! They are saying I now have to purchase the subscription? Needless to say, I am very disappointed and voiced that to the support person “Yasmin”. Who I might add hung up on me saying UNFORTUNATELY, we cannot come to an agreement and according to the Apple policy she will have to terminate the call! WHAT!! I have, Apple TV, an IPhone, IPad and a MACBOOK! Really? What to do?
