Adobe will not open a folder

Everything was working fine on my MacBook Pro until this past weekend. There was an update and now when I try to open my folders using an Adobe app it won't open. I also cannot 'Save As' into any folder. All I see is this folder, which I can no longer access. It never had that arrow on it before.

Please help!

Folders won't open when double clicking on an icon. Not sure why this is happening? I've never messed around with the setting and haven't paired my Mac with a mouse or anything. To open a file or anything of the sort, I have to 'right click' it and press open. It's not that much of an issue to be fair, but it is annoying.

cannot open folders on MacBook PRO On my MacBook Pro I cannot open the folders at all (but Safari and surfing the Net work fine). When I highlight a folder with my mouse, it jumps to the next folder, then when I highlight that folder it jumps to another folder etc.I hav lost all control of my desktop. At the same time I cannot put the MacBook to sleep and it no longer puts itself to sleep.I don't know if the two issues are related.MacBook
