This is a risk you take buying a used iPhone. Activation Lock can ONLY be removed by the user who owned the phone and put it there. Apple will NOT help you. We CANNOT help you. Unless you know and can get the help from the owner whose ID the phone is locked to, you have a totally useless device. There is no help.

Bottom Line: Either return the phone for refund or recycle it.

Hi there,

It sounds like you purchased an iCloud locked iPhone. The only way to unlock it is the original Apple ID used when it was first set up, with hardly any exceptions. If you have information on where you purchased the phone, you could get help on how to get a refund. I'm sorry you didn't get lucky with it, and unfortunately we can't help you with that.

It is NOT Apple's fault you bought a used iPhone which is Activation Locked. Sorry, but you should have done some research before you parted with your money and learned what to look for in a used device. Apple takes our security VERY seriously and they will not unlock an iPhone for ANYONE other than the original buyer and ONLY then with proof of original purchase.

It's unfortunate you were scammed, but it's most definitely not Apple's fault someone took advantage of you.

All you know is that it wasn’t reported stolen to the police in Iran. Not all stolen phones are reported stolen, and if it was stolen in a different country the local police would not know about it even if it was reported stolen in another country. Indeed, it is common for thieves to ship the phone to a different country to avoid it being identified as stolen. What country did it originally come from? not Iran, because Apple is not permitted to do business in Iran. The model number has information to identify the country of origin.
