Import multitrack wav into Logic Pro X?

Reposting due to original thread being closed and no correct answer being given.

When importing WAV multi-track audio files via the file->import menu, it brings some files in as Surround Sound format rather than multi-track. How do you bring multi-track files in as separate channels?

Answer: Drag the file in from Finder rather than using the import button. It will ask if you want to bring the file in as a single or separate tracks.
