Bad news.

MS has discontinued the use of all older MS Office apps for older, 32-bit architecture devices, like your iPad 4th gen, which is forever stuck on iOS 10.3.3.

MS Office apps require iOS 12 and newer which your iPad is incapable of upgrading to.

To run these newer MS Office versions, now requires the purchase of a new or discounted, refurbished iPad from Apple capable of running iOS 12 or newer.

What am I looking at?

Is this some sort of login screen when you first launch one of the MS Office apps or is this a message from the Apple iOS App Store when you first attempt to redownload the app to your iPad?

Have you tried re-installing MS Office apps from the Purchases menu option in the iOS App Store app?

Yes, the iPad 4th generation is now almost 7-1/2 years old.

It might be time to consider a new or refurbished iPad purchase.
