Pre-Installed Applications

What applications come pre-installed on the iPhone? Which applications can not be removed? What are the “uninstalled applications” listed under Settings; Cellular Data, that take up space on the hard drive? If in the “cloud” via the App Store, “Not Installed on this Phone” is keeping a record of applications “not installed on this phone” then why am I losing storage space? Are they separate entities? If so, how can I delete what I can’t see to save space?
