this is my daughters old iPhone and I would like to give this to my mum who has an ee contract and I would like to put her SIM card into this phone. This phone needs to be reset or blanked and I cannot do this. Please reset so a different SIM card can be inserted.

As far as the ee SIM is concerned, if that iphone is not locked to a different carrier (check it with that carrier), it should accept your Mom SIM card (depending on the size of the card supported by that iPhone, or asking ee to provide a new compatible SIM, maintaining phone number and contract).
