MBP not booting after Wacom install

Late 2011 mbp, 10.13.6, works fine, until I installed a Wacom driver. I just bought their small plain intous, got the driver on their sit and no reboot. Booting into safe mode did not work. Reading here, https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250563955, some people had same problem. I didn’t boot into verbose mode, don’t know how and didn’t google it. Booting into recovery and re installing the os now.

WACOM DISAVOWED ANY PROBLEMS ON THEIR PART. how awesome is that? Hope the reinstall works. I have TM back ups that are recent too.

thanks for listening.

You can Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Uninstall the Wacom from here.

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-15 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc. Login

If no luck—boot to Recovery, reinstall the macOS

Safe mode did not work, unless i needed to wait even longer than 10 min. It stopped when the progress bar was all the full. Same as a regular boot. The post i referred to said after a sys re-install, to re-download the Wacom driver and it worked for them. Had i not just spent $70 on the thing, I’d be tempted to not use it at all. I mean, it _should_ work, right? Wacom has made tables for decades.

anyway, ‘m about 7 minutes away from a sys re-install. Thanks for your help, though!
