Microsoft Teams Poor Wifi Network Performance on MacBook Pro

Hi, All. I'm running Microsoft Teams on my MacBook Pro (2.9 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 / 8 GB) and I'm really suffering from poor wifi network performance on voice and video calls. A message pops up saying "Poor Network Performance" and the people I'm talking to complain that video stops and audio stutters to the point where I'm unreadable.

It's the only app I use that suffers from this, and it doesn't matter which network I'm connected to (both my home and work wifi networks are super fast and have no known performance issues). If I run Teams on my iPad Pro I dont suffer from the same problem, so it seems to be limited to the MacBook.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Greetings Ian_Webster,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand you're unable to use Microsoft Teams with your MacBook Pro as expected, as you mentioned video calls will stop, audio will stutter, and you'll see a poor network performance alert.

The following article from Microsoft provides helpful suggestions for resolving network related issues with Microsoft Teams: Prepare your network for Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Docs

Microsoft also suggests to reach out to your IT admin for technical assistance with Teams: Get technical support for Teams - Office Support

"Your first resource for technical support is your IT admin, who manages Microsoft Teams settings for your organization. They can work with us to solve any problems you're having."

Since this behavior is isolated to Teams, I suggest contacting Microsoft if further assistance is needed: Microsoft Support

Kind regards.
