I cannot update pages ?

What would be the proplem?

If you do not have macOS 10.14.n or Catalina installed on your Mac, then you cannot install Pages from the Mac App Store. Sharing more information as to the current version of Pages that you have installed, and the version of macOS would have been more helpful.
