Microsoft Office

I had Microsoft Office 2011 which was bought couple of years ago. Now Once I updated the software to Catalina my word and excel is not working. What should I do to get using my Microsoft office again. I do not want to go on subscription.

Thanks

For future reference, ALWAYS verify software compatibility BEFORE upgrading to a new operating system. Microsoft, and pretty much all SW providers will only continue to support older versions of their products for a certain period. It is a given that either or both HW & SW will need to be upgraded.

As an alternative to BobTheFisherman's suggestion to downgrade, you can elect to run a VM manager, like Parallels or VMware, on your Mac. Then create a VM of an earlier version of macOS or OS X that supports older third-party SW.
