I can no longer share photos from my Mac desktop via email with right click, the option disappeared and although it is checked off (mail) under the share option, the option isn't available when in Photos. Previously it was an option right after share albums ..... Any idea what is amiss?
The option to share by Mail is still in the Share menu in Catalina. But it will vanish, when you select too many photos at once. Are you seeing Mail in the Share menu, when you select just one photo?
And have you enabled Mail.app as the default Mail reader in "Mail > Preferences > General"?

Mail in the Share menu was checked marked, but didn't work with Photos. I wasn't seeing Mail in the Share menu for even one photo.
Upon switching the default Mail reader to the Mail.app, I now have the share option back. (For some reason I had Google selected as the default but hadn't realized it was the cause.)
