Apple TV glitch on Samsung TV -- Movies bought or rented won't play

Whether I use the built-in app of my Samsung NU6950F or try to use Airplay from another device, movies I rent or buy in the Apple store won't play. When I try Airplay, I get a message that "the content is in a format that can't be played on this TV"

Apple TV+ won't AirPlay to my TV I have an Apple TV+ subscription, and I can view its content on all of my devices. I also have a second gen Apple TV which does everything it's supposed to, and I can airplay anything through it to my non-smart LCD television. BUT when I try to airplay Apple TV+ content through it to that television, I get error message on my device "There's a problem loading this content." Is this fixable?

Airplay My tv starts to play a video but then goes back to the Airplay screen. What do I do to fix this?

Cannot play Apple TV+ content on Apple TV I’m travelling with an Apple TV 3G, and I’m trying to play Apple TV+ shows on it, but it doesn’t work. I’ve mostly tried Airplay from a Mac or iPad, but also direct playback on the Apple TV. It either complains about lack of HDR support or says the video format is not compatible. I searched and found that the device is compatible with Apple TV+ with the latest software update, which I have installed. It is connected to a television set which probably doesn’t support HDR, but does it check for that, and is there no way I can watch this content using this setup?

iTunes Store movies should be able to work like that.
