btconnect email will not set up in iMac mail

I have had an iMac since 2012. I have had my email setup in mail for 8 years. Email just stopped working one day. Tried everything. Works fine in iPad and in all other devices. Tried deleting it and starting again. It is a btconnect email which uses the office365 servers. When all is set up it has beachball spinning.... Can anyone help?
