I accidentally called 911, after I hung up my phone will not allow me to answer calls, or even get into it. Is there something I need to do?

Hi there, kasarah36!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you accidentally called 911 and now you are not able to answer calls or get into the device. Check out this article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen. This article will give you steps you can take for issue with your device not responding, as well as the next steps to take if you continue to have issues.

Also, check out this link to Make emergency calls on iPhone. This link will give you additional information about emergency calls made form your iPhone:

  • With CDMA, when an emergency call ends, iPhone enters emergency call mode for a few minutes to allow a call back from emergency services. During this time, data transmission and text messages are blocked.
  • After making an emergency call, certain call features that block or silence incoming calls may be disabled for a short period of time to allow a callback from emergency services. These include Do Not Disturb, Silence Unknown Callers, and Screen Time.

Have a great day!
