I continue to be asked to confirm an email address that was entered in-error. How can I delete the erroneous address?

I continually am asked to confirm an email address that has never been used because it has one letter different from the correct address. I am unable to confirm my address because the address is the wrong one and I’ve never receive mail on it? How can I delete the bad address and confirm an existing usable address? Jim Serna

See the following from Change your Apple ID - Apple Support

If you enter your email address incorrectly when you create your Apple ID

If you create your Apple ID with an email address that you can't verify, sign in to your Apple ID account page with the email address that you entered when you set up your Apple ID. Then you can change your Apple ID to the correct email address.
