I am trying to renew my Apple Music subscription. I’m trying to pay with my Apple ID credit but won’t let me finalize the purchase and keeps asking me to update my payment method. I have $25 credit.

If you have a subscription, you are required to have a valid payment method on file even if you have an account balance. You need to update you payment method. Once you do that, you should be able to renew your subscription using your account balance.
