Hi Beclund,
Your question states that it is about an iPhone 7 SE - There is no iPhone 7 SE - There is an iPhone 7 and there is an iPhone SE. Two separate iPhones.
To force close an app here are the instructions How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Please follow the instructions and you will successfully force close your app.
If you still cannot force close that app, for any reason, the Force Restart your iPhone by following these instructions Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Sorry. It's an SE that came out about the same time as the 7s, so I guessed. It's a hand-me-down from my husband because I didn't want the newest models.
I had been trying to follow the instructions on the page you cited, but I discovered that the instructions do not work for my phone. That's when I contacted the community. However, turning off Bluetooth and then turning it back on seems to have fixed the problem I was having with the app (FitBit). So, I guess I don't need to force close it anymore.
Thanks.
No problem. Looks like your FitBit is now communicating with your iPhone SE. Mission accomplished.
One thing just FYI - There was also never an iPhone 7s. There was only an iPhone 7 and then Apple moved on to an iPhone 8 the following year. Have a great day.

Delete the app, and re-download it. That if toggling Bluetooth (!?) didn’t somehow clear this.
If the app is still stuck after a reboot, a reload, and also didn’t force-close, the developer has some work awaiting.
What happens when you try to close the app? Which app? Tried a reboot?

Sure, and I am grateful for you helping me communicate in the correct lingo. However, the "s" was to indicate plurality, as in "when the iPhone sevens came out."
Nothing happens. It's just stuck. Rebooting did not change anything about the stuckness of the app. But, turning Bluetooth off and back on helped. Yay!
Ah the old plural "s" designation at the end of the number trick!
