I have a iPhone XS my son threw it in the tub while it was draining I grabbed it out right away is it water proof or am I screwed it is working and everything I’m just scared it’s gunna break down??

No iPhone is waterproof. Your iPhone is water resistant. If it's working that's good and you may be lucky to not experience damage caused by water. But water has a way of getting inside and destroying the electronics inside the phone. Keep an eye on it over the next few days. BACK UP YOUR iPhone immediately to ensure that if you have to replace the phone (water damage is NOT covered by iPhone warranty) you have a backup to set up a replacement phone from.
