App purchase method

Got a new phone and in my settings Touch ID is enabled for all purchases. But, when I’m in the App Store it’s asking for password not fingerprint, which I’d rather. How do I fix this? Thanks!

If you don't want to enter a password when you download apps, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name, then tap iTunes & App Store.
  3. Under your Apple ID: tap Password Settings.

If you have Touch ID or Face ID turned on for purchases, you won't see Password Settings.
