Lost emails
Recently upgraded my iMac from El Capitan to Catalina and all emails lost. Anyone know how to find them or should I go back to the older OS

Ah, likely the biggest disadvantage of POP.

Use your Time Machine backup to restore your mail. Please review https://support.apple.com/guide/mail/restore-mailboxes-and-their-content-mail15172/mac for instructions.
Thanks for your answer and is the time to say if only!!! Didn't back up to time machine, had problems with it and sadly couldn't be bothered there after.
I take it this was a POP account then, not IMAP?
