How do I get it to start up

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Well it looks like your HD has failed and must be replaced. I would recommend taking it to your local Apple Authorized Service Provider to be professionaly diagnosed and repaired.
Please describe it exactly what it does when you press the power button.
Most likely cause is a failing Hard Drive.
Tried both still won’t load
It comes on with a white screen with an apple symbol and a loading bar which only loads half way and then stops
Mac stalling on start up
