Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I have an iPad mini 2 that belonged to my late father in law. It was locked and no one has the Apple ID or password. I tried to restore it, but I'm prompted for his Apple ID/passcode, which no one has. How can I reset so it can be used or is this now just a throwaway?

Unfortunately, I don't have that info. I'm afraid this thing might be bricked at this point as its not worth the trouble of a court order. I can't even give it away.
