Syncing from Mac Book

I use a MacBook Air 2015 edition and am using Mac OS Catalina. Since yesterday night I have been trying to copy songs from my folder in finder to my iPhone and it has been syncing all my songs on the music app into my iPhone X. I am not happy with this, am new to iPhone and it is already frustrating me. The new Music app for Catalina is so annoying. I tried canceling the sync process but to no avail. I deleted the iTunes app and songs on my phone but to no avail. Anytime I connect my iPhone X to my Mac, it shows me all the songs that has been synced to my phone in the music app. And I can’t delete them on the music app. I have been trying since last night. My iPhone X does not show in finder too. I am quite frustrated. I would like to know of an app where I could send all music in a document folder of mine to my iPhone X so that it could play in the iTunes app in my phone

Hello sylvester98,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that your entire library in the Music app on your MacBook Air is syncing to your iPhone X. You're unable to remove synced songs from the iPhone, and it does not appear in Finder on the Mac as well. I would be happy to help provide steps to take in order to sync your music how you want.

I'd like to start by having you open Finder while the iPhone is connected to the Mac. In the menu bar across the top of the screen, go to Finder > Preferences > Sidebar. Ensure that CDs, DVDs, and iOS Devices is selected. Close this window and check if the iPhone now appears in Finder:

Use the Finder to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer - Apple Support

The following resource provides more detailed steps about syncing only selected music, or how to remove synced music from the iPhone using Finder:

Sync music between your Mac and iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Let us know if you're still experiencing an issue after trying those steps.

Take care.
