Apps automatically loading to the dock

How to keep apps automatically loading to the dock after I have changed the settings to not allow.

I cannot add or remove apps from the Dock - how do I enable this? I cannot remove apps or add them to my Dock. When I click on the app, they're in the options menu: Open at Login and Show in Finder. There is no remove from Dock. I cannot drag the apps out of the Dock (even if they are not active - don't have the dot underneath). Please help.

cannot move apps to dock bar, they just bounce back where they were. One day all 4 apps in my dock bar were gone, and attempts to move them back fail, they just bounce back to where they were.

What do you mean they are loading to the dock? When you say settings, are you referring to the Show Suggested and Recent Apps in Dock? You have that turned off?
