How to set mail check frequency on ipad pro

I had to reset my iPad Pro a few days back. One of the three items lost is setting the mail check.

Google told me to find Mail, contacts, calendar. No such item is showing. Each shows separately.

There seems to be no way to set an automatic check for my mail accounts.

Advice, please?
