No sound at all from its internal speakers, even when you press the volume up / down buttons?
Does System Preferences > Sound > Output confirm the Internal Speakers selection, and is Mute de-selected?
Assuming you verify that, restart your Mac in the usual manner.
If that doesn't help, reset its NVRAM.
