Delate wife's device (i-phone) from my i-cloud account

I have an I-phone 7, my wife has an I-phone 6s. How do I permanently and completely remove her device from my I-cloud account. I removed her device but she now needs to "sign in" to my account each time she uses her phone.

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 13

I'd infer that the two phones might both using the same Apple ID.

If that's the case, the only way to resolve that is to switch the devices to unique Apple IDs.

To do that, log out of iCloud and the Apple ID on the ones that will switch, and log into the new Apple ID. That also means that the apps and music and iCloud storage are no longer available.

Family Sharing can be helpful for sharing access, and sharing apps and music, and a better approach than sharing the same Apple ID.

When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed. See Winston Churchill's response in the below discussion. Also set up Family Sharing to keep access to your apps/purchases.
