Swelling macbook pro battery

The battery of my macbook pro 2015 has to be serviced and apparently is swelling. I understand swelling is caused by a default. Is there any coverage or replacement campain in place for that case with apple ? It has only 282 cycles ...

Not usually. Maybe if there's a public recall. Swelling is something that happens to an example of almost every device with lithium rechargeable batteries, even if it's rare. It's just something that happens because of the nature of the technology, and it's often random in how it happens. If it's under warranty or extended warranty you should be fine.
