Display setting "best for retina display" in clamshell with Dell P2416d

I want to hookup my MacBook Pro with Retina display to my Dell P2416 as external display to ease a stress from my eyes. The scaled resolution/best resolution for Dell renders very small text size and on a smaller resolution, I have pixelated text.

After spending some time and tried a lot of thing, I found a solution that I set display at "Best for Retina display", it returns very fine text across all applications although I have to compromise on a less wide screen on Dell P2416 but I am happy with this (Both in mirror or daisy chain arrangements). However, problem starts again when I use this external monitor in clamshell state. The monitor returns to its native resolution with small text in all applications with very small icons.

My question is that if this is possible to set this resolution option in clamshell arrangement?

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15
