Message Forwarding

This has always worked well but since the recent update, my messages are no longer forwarded to my iPad. I’ve looked everywhere and can no longer find any toggles. I’ve even gone as far as resetting all my settings in my phone due to an issue with the ohine not ringing which has also not been resolved and I’m taking it in today for hardware resolution. However that still does not explain why the phone will not forward when it always did before. Help? Yes I did log out of both devices and restart both

Do you have messages turned on in iCloud settings on both devices?

Plug the phones in overnight and they should sync.

I had actually synced several times and it never helped so last night I finally took both devices ito my isp (who are also Apple support Agents) and after messing around for about fifteen minutes he finally found the issue. Never really explained it properly to me and I’m still a bit confused as I have never had the issue in five years that I was not able to fix it on my ow.n. Of course the phone rang for them when tested which was the main reason I went in. I’m having an intermittent issue with my phone not ringing and nobody seems to know why. Oh well another day
