No, it shouldn't. You tried rebooting the router as well? Does this only occur with your home wi-fi, or are you unable to connect to any other wi-fi network? If you have followed those steps, and resetting your router or resetting your iPhone's network settings does not correct it, then I would make a Genius Bar appointment at the nearest Apple Store to have the device examined by Apple. I cannot think of any other remedy at this point.
