Restoring iPhone5 from iTunes backup problem

Hi, I'm trying to restore iPhone5/10.3.4 from iPhone6/12.4.4 backup for hours. Both phones were up to date at moment when the backup has been created. I'm following the instructions very carefully. The massage "Your backup can't be restored because the software on your device is too old" is showing every time. Can you help me please?
