Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I have been trying to update my iMac from High Sierra, for the longest time. Finally came to the time when work is quiet so I have the time. I want to save the data on my machine, so dont really want to do a clean install. I have tried recovery mode but alas it is still stuck on the same screen, see attached screenshot. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix, many thanks in advance for your help

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.
Hi All, finally got switched over to Catalina. It took three attempts and the final attempt was complete accident as I left the machine running overnight and it finally rebooted into Catalina. It randomly won't shut down and sends a report to apple but I have reset the NV Ram and it seems to have worked
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

I decided to stay with us high Sierra But I lost my email. I had to come back and then it keeps disappearing. I have no idea how to keep it there. Any suggestions?
