Have new watch was able to add one credit card to ApplePay, but it keeps rejecting my Discover card with mismatched security code (same code as before), tried elating

Have new AppleWatch - was able to add one credit card to ApplePay easily, but Discover card keeps being rejected for invalid security code; tried removing card from all devices and then adding back in, but that does not work either, still rejecting security code.

Discover says it's not them.

It’s Discover who is rejecting it. Are you sure you are entering the correct CVV? On a Discover card it is to the right of the signature panel and is clearly labeled “security code”. Also make absolutely sure you entered the card number and expiration date correctly.
