Open the Watch app on the companion iPhone, and navigate to Notifications. From there, if your third-party app is listed, you can choose to mirror your companion iPhone alerts to your watch. The notifications you receive, will depend on how you have your notifications set up within your third-party app as well. Not all applications support the option for notifications on Apple Watch.
