Up until recently, albums created on my MacBook sync with my ipad and iphone. I recently got a new MacBook Air and eversince then syncing was flawless. The icloud photostream option is on and the Photos photostream option is on as well. On the other had, there are no problems with syncing a "shared album" .

Just to be sure, photos are syncing but just certain albums are not? If this is the case, open Photos > Preferences > iCloud from the Mac menu bar when Photos is open. From there, turn off iCloud Photos and then restart your Mac:

Turn the features back on after restarting and make sure you have a good internet connection. See if your photo albums sync as expected after this.

It sounds like you’re using iCloud Photos. Go to Settings > Your Name > iCloud on both your iPad and iPhone and make sure Photos are enabled. On your Mac, open up System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud and make sure Photos is enabled there as well. Restart your devices after that, ensure they are connected to a good working network, and see if your photos start syncing as expected. Take a look at these links for steps on how to do this:

Thanks for your reply but I actually have done all of the above already( after reading from previous posts) and still failed to sync.
